Stead Family Children's Hospital
Opened in Spring of 2017, the UI Stead Family Children's Hospital is designed as a healing environment that improves the health and well-being of children and their families. the Children’s Hospital also performs groundbreaking research to help solve the mysteries of childhood diseases, in addition to training the next generation of health care professionals. artworks |
Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapies Unit
Opened in Summer of 2018, this spacious facility was designed to quickly and efficiently implement the latest therapies with patient comfort and convenience as a top priority. artworks |
Heart and Vascular Center
The UIHC opened a newly renovated 30,000-square-foot Heart and Vascular Center in September of 2017 that brings together all heart and vascular outpatient services into one location. artworks |
Pediatric Specialty Clinic
The Pediatric Specialty Clinic (PSC) was remodeled and expanded to better meet the needs of our patients, families, and care team. The space planning renovation approach utilizes an onstage (public), offstage (staff only) design strategy that improves privacy, reduces noise, and frees up hallways for patients and families. Design enhancements include a clam, soothing, spacious atmosphere with family-friendly furniture, large windows to let in natural light and interactive walls to distract and entertain patients and families. Department of Psychiatry courtyard mural
The purpose of the mural is to provide a visual focal point to an outdoor space that softens the environment and creates a more pleasant experience for confined psychiatric patients and activity therapists. artwork |
